Welcome to The Forge. The Forge is a community-run think tank, with a focus on web3, reputation, systems change, and social impact. We’re building the foundation and building blocks for collective intelligence guided by You, The People. We’ve added a few channels that we can utilize for collective intelligence. The first one is called Insight. This is for important or contextual lessons, thoughts, projections about the future, insights into society, culture, the future of work, anything you can imagine that might be helpful for other learners out there interested in similar topics. Remember that you can respond to an Insight in the insight channel with a Respect emoji to give $Respect. The next channel is for a web3 governance and proposal platform we’re building called the Potentials.App. If you have a new idea or interesting model you’d like to share with The Forge, drop it in the Potentials chat for feedback and guidance.
Lastly, there’s the addition of the Respect channel. This is where you can document and send Respect transactions and use it to document work and impacts. Together we plan on using these channels to create a vibrant learning community and an impact focused think-tank. I will post articles to read from now on here in The Forge channel. Be sure to turn notifications on for updates in this channel. We’re going to be scheduling open weekly community brainstorming sessions and mini-hackathon or builder sessions that we’re opening up to the community so stay tuned for more.

Respect and Responsibility.
Respect and Responsibility it's our foundation. Our core. Our community vision. We make collective decisions around and with respect and responsibility in mind. We strive to collectively become teachers and guides. To set and embody the example, and guide towards increased humanity and deeper shared purpose. Respect is our North Star. Our anchor. We lead with our hearts and minds aligned. We’re on a mission to collectively solve some of society's most pressing wicked problems.

Community Vibe:
Curiosity, Compassion, and Courage
Curiosity is a central pillar. We are always learning and we love to share our curiosity and spark inspiration in each other. We are thoughtful learning guides for each other and let our values drive our learning and innovation.
Compassion is essential. It's our aligner, our central mindset, and it serves as a Community Compass. As systems thinkers, we need to have strong empathy and compassion because systems are complex and they are often made up of people. We need to be able to empathize with complexity and put ourselves into the perspectives of the demographic we are trying to help. Systems are also often made from other systems. We need to be able to empathize and relate to those most impacted by the system and those within the system. It's imperative that we have strong hearts because in order to become effective problem-solvers together we need to strive to understand deeply, and in order to understand deeply we need to empathize deeply.
Lastly, there's courage. We need to be bold. As learners, as builders, and as guides, we need to be strong. Strong individually as well as strong as a whole! We need to stand up for those in need and we need to take action together! We need to develop the courage to learn, the courage to change, and the courage to teach together. We need to develop the courage to coordinate and inquire. To teach and inspire. We need to develop the courage to have a strong heart and strong mind, at all times.
